My Story

Hey , my names Sarah McGlory I am a 51 year old mother,

I have decided to do a fundraising Trek for the fantastic Woodlands hospice .

On the 4th May this year I will be treking up the amazing Mountain Toubkal in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco 🇲🇦 this is 4 times the size of Snowden 🤨

I have not challenged myself to a trek like this before but know I will get the job done ✔️ as it's all for a good cause 🙏🏼

I truly believe Woodlands Hospice did the most amazing job looking after my lovely dad when he was seriously ill.

Back in 2018, he sadly lost his fight with stomach cancer. At one point I tried to care for him myself, but it became too much as I wasn’t qualified in palliative care, and I wanted him to have the best support possible.

Our local GP contacted Woodlands Hospice, and they made space for my dad the very next day. The care, compassion, and dignity they gave him — and our family — is something I will never forget.

I always wanted to do something to give back to Woodlands, but life took over, including lockdown and then losing my lovely mum two years later,

Now I’m in a much better place, and I’ve decided it’s time to give back to a charity that means so much to me. I honestly couldn’t think of a better choice than Woodlands Hospice, who were there for my family when we needed them most.

💜 Any support, donations, or shares would mean the world.

Thank you for helping me give something back to this incredible place.
